Jim has helped us tremendously with our purchase and ongoing running of our Sweden 42. He found a number items that needed attention which enabled us determine a work schedule agreed with the vendor. Jim did a pre purchase survey and sea trial for me (of a twin engine motor cruiser) in January 2019. He was prompt to respond to my initial enquiry and nothing but friendly, helpful and efficient thereafter. I spent almost a full day with him during the survey/ sea trial and he was incredibly thorough and happy to answer all my questions and explain things that I didnt understand. I was left in no doubt as to the positive (and not so positive) aspects of the boat involved and felt reassuringly informed about any issues prior to making a purchase decision. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Jim.

Having purchased a new sailing yacht directly from a European manufacturer and having it delivered in a condition that was unfit to be accepted as a new yacht, we needed a very experienced and highly respected Yacht Surveyor to assist us with your case with the manufacturer. In our search with fellow sailors and yacht club members Jim Prichard's was quickly at the top of the list. During the first phone conversation we could quickly tell Jim was all business, and the fact that he was also an engineer , boat builder and sailor convinced us to select him for our Yacht Surveyor. The resulting inspection and report exceeded all of our expectations, and he has impressed all those that are now assisting us with our case.
