Ordered ham, cheese & gherkin sandwich & a plain bacon sandwich. The bread for both was toasted for some reason, the ham was very poor quality, the cheese was processed burger cheese & the "bacon" was just the same ham that had been chucked under the grill for a minute. Not a 4.50 sandwich by any stretch of the imagination! Only the decent coffee prevented a 1 star review.

Ordered a cup of tea which was made from a hearn. The waitress gave me the tea with the lid to the side of the cup. I put the lid on but it was not secure causing 2nd degree burn to my skin when I picked it up. She didn't seem concerned and I had to ask if they had a toilet for me to use cold water. I left after and went straight to the pharmacy to get something for it then to Royal Surrey Hospital. I called the next day to ask the owner to log it in the incident book.. He sent me cctv to show i put the lid on I did say its the responsibility of the waitress to do so. He told me I should have said something then not the next day Bare in mind I'm badly burnt and need medical assistance. Since the macdonald's case in 2002 where someone got badly burnt as the heat of the water from a hearn is much greater than a kettle. All places serving coffee must secure the lids. Thats why Costa coffee places the lid securely on the cups thats why Starbucks and gregs places the lid on the cups thats why macdonald's places the lid on the cups. The owner continues to blame me and now I'm out of work for 3 weeks. Thankfully I have a strong case seen as the owner is reluctant to send me the cctv of the part where it spilt. Be careful when purchasing hot drinks from here. I for one will never be going back.
