Well situated for Whitby, Pickering, Scarborough, Teeside and especially the Yorkshire Moors. Beautiful gardens, good size rooms, 2 toilets, but the shower cuts outs after 3 people have had a shower, the bath leaked, a huge problem with flies, (that was from our 1st day, before we'd unpacked), and then there were slugs in the house. T.V's didn't work after the 3rd day but there had been a fire at a mast tower nearby so we think that was the problem

Just been to our home from home after a break due to pandemic. We have been holidaying at this lovely warm house since my 27 year old son was 9 months old. We have watched the house improve dramatically over the years. We were there when it was not double glazed. This year they have had a multi fuel stove fitted in lounge that stays hotter for longer than an ordinary fire. All is very clean nicely decorated very comfortable. Someone last year complained of flies. Think she meant the mozzies you get in areas like the moors at certain times of the year. This cant be helped. If you dont like them definately dont go to Scotland. They are really bad there. They come with the terrain. The owner cant do anything about them. The main lounge Tv only one that works 55 inch great picture. Fantastic views as ypu sit in the lounge looking over the moors. Good fridge and freezer Supermarkets will deliver to the house. Good pubs nearby we preferred Inn on the Moor as Goathland Arms bit expensive. Nothing is too much trouble if you have any problems. The house has 3 bedrooms upper floor has private self contained flat used by owner not while you are there. Nice kitchen, comfortable lounge. With the multi fuel stove. Beautiful front dinning room to watch the world go by and tourist coaches arrive. The sheep that wander around the village. All the heartbeat stuff. Lovely walks. THe steam Railway 10 minute walk at bottom of the hill Goathland Station used for Heartbeat.Harry Potter and other tv series.
