Nice setting, spacious. Ideal for the Mind, Body Spirit event I attended

I have lived in Gloucester for 5 years and I never knew it existed. Went there for a Mind, body and soul fayre. Beautiful building that has been respectfully renovated, keeping lots of the abbey's features. A definite bonus is the grass picnic area in the middle of the courtyard. I will definitely visit again.

Gloucester History Weekend Went to see Dr Janina Ramirez's talk on Tutankhamen. The talk was very good. I knew she was small but didn't expect the 6 or 7 inch heeled boots with 2 inch soles. Blackfriars is 800 years old in parts and has been sympathetically restored; notices have been placed at several vantage points that explain the views. One doesn't realise just how big the main hall is until one is inside it. Well worth a visit
