Based on this experience I used Janes Marathon Support Package for my first Marathon this year. Her advice was invaluable, and Im not sure I would have got to the end without her! I can thoroughly recommend Jane - she listens carefully and tailors her support to the individual, and is really open to questions and sharing tips and advice.

The pain was progressively getting worse. I would sit down for a small while and when I got up I could hardly put any weight through my heels. Tip toeing until the pain calmed down a bit.
I finally gave in and started looking for an alternative solution to my problem. Thanks to a friend of mine I found The Rackham Effect.
I started going to see Jane back in January 2018. After the very first session with her I could feel an improvement. But within a couple of days it was back.
So I went and saw her every 2 - 3 days for a number of weeks, by this time the pain wasn't as bad and we found that we could stretch to sessions weekly.
So I continued to see her weekly until the end of March were we agreed to stretch the sessions out more to every 3 weeks. And now I only see her once a month :-)
I know this will still improve until I will no longer need to see her regularly.
I would like to thank Jane for her help and would recommend anyone to go and see her. It's not a quick fix as I left it so long to get it looked at.
But I am now so glad that I did. I'm back to running 3 - 4 times per week, on the treadmill at the moment, but again i'm looking forward to getting outside and running again soon.
