Dr Kate Edgar - Clinical Psychologist

Kate is a pleasant person who means well. I worked with her for a while, but she prefers to work in a very structured way, rather than introducing therapeutic ideas while counselling. As I did not particularly enjoy the structured work, Kate found this very hard, and put forward her preferred method a few more times than I thought necessary. I think what I needed should have been more important. She definitely cares about her patients, but her emails arent great and can be patronising. She should definitely address this. She is expensive to see, so I would just chat through with her before you start, to ensure she is happy to do what you want.

Kate is clearly very experienced and well trained. I know of other people that she had helped as well... Would definitely recommend.

I trust Kate to find her own appropriate methods to counsel me. The danger is that we think we know what we need, but a professional such as Dr. Edgar has a wealth of knowledge and takes the time to consider the best approach having listened to the specific situation. I would highly recommend her based on that. Its so important to enter such things with an open mind and leave any preconceptions at the door.
