Terrible and unpleasant manager who needs a few lessons in customer service. Avoid Explanation: I needed a spare pair of glasses as mine were already falling apart (bought from Asda). My glasses are important in my line of work and were causing massive issues with them falling off. I was told my prescription was out of date by a week and they could not supply me with glasses. The manager had no sympathy for my situation and from the off he very clearly showed he had no interest in helping me. I couldnt get an appointment until end of March. Because of this I asked for a copy of my prescription and they told me I would be committing fraud and refused to give it to me! I left feeling so upset and defeated. No ounce of sympathy from the team and I will certainly not be going bad. Sort it out.

No problems with getting my eyes tested and picking the frames. Was told it will be two to three weeks and that I will get a call. Nearly five weeks later get a phone call to say glasses is ready, but has to make an appointment to pick them up preferably on Saturday or Sunday? Trying to make an appointment but no answer. Will leave a voicemail to see if they will get back to me.

I used Asda Gloucester Opticians for the first time a couple of years ago and recommended them to numerous people since. This year, I've had appointments cancelled, which is frustrating because it takes ages to arrange as you always get the answer machine, and no one returns your calls. My rearraged appointment went well and the girl carrying out the test etc was brilliant. New glasses selected, paid," ready in about 10 days ". 14 days later I rang 6 times, finally left message, no response. I travelled 15 miles to collect, to be told they're in the store but need to be quality checked, ring back in 2 days. Now 3 days, so I've rung 10 times only to get the answer machine every time. I left a message at 3.00pm asking if I could pick up my glasses this afternoon. It's now 6.30pm....still waiting, store closes at 7.30pm. I shall return to the store tmw morning collect my glasses and will not be returning. You KNOW where people say I should of gone.......well next time.

Never buy glasses from Asda opticians. I bought two pairs of varifocals nearly a year ago and they've been nothing but trouble. The screws holding the arms are constantly coming loose. As a consequence one if the arms fractured at the hinge, so I took them back. They told me it might not be a warranty repair because of the fracture but sent them off. Today I get a call to say they're ready. I collect them and as the technician is adjusting them the hinge breaks. They hadn't repaired them nor had they told her they weren't repaired. I could have soldered them but not now.
