On the whole inadequate level of care & attention, lack of Fruit & Veg./repetitive tea-time menu, repeatedly found Mum's catheter not emptied, drinks jug not topped up, on occasion not taken to activities but 'forgotten' in room, the list goes on. Told liquids would be monitored ... didn't happen, told she would be encouraged to move more ... didn't happen .... in the two months Mum stayed there she went downhill and left Millbrook Lodge with bedsores graded a 2 and a 3 on a scale of 1 to 4. I would not recommend this nursing home to anyone but am only going by my own personal experience.

Avoid this place if you have dear loved ones. Our Nan is of sound mind. Before lockdown she complained about night staff. It got no better! Since lockdown Nan has written many letters, all mention the night staff have lack of care. We find managers very unfriendly with uncaring attitudes which I find unbelievable in the job they've chosen. When we call they refuse to let us know about visit procedures saying talk to the designated person who surprisingly also doesn't know about new visit procedures. It's disgusting that my husband has a 97year old Nan that he is very close to and he cannot get to see her in her final months, weeks or even days of her life! Please choose wisely before putting your loved ones in the care of a place that doesn't care!
