City Centre Guest House - Gloucester Park

My bed broke underneath me. The slats were not fitted properly in the frame so after a couple of loud cracks the mattress started descending towards the floor. We managed to repair it but if we had been on our own or more frail or less competent we might not have been able to sleep in it. I would welcome some compensation for this.Also there was only one large towel in room 201 and an inadequate number of pillows and toilet rolls

This is a guest house without a clear host, more like an HMO being let out while they do it up. Host is available by phone only. I rarely complain but the slats on the bed had been moved so that there was no head support beneath the mattress(easily fixed, but really annoying), several breakfast options had run out (semi-skimmed milk, bran flakes, wholemeal bread for example), bedside light was not working, shower room light switch was too high for my wife to reach, wi-fi often crawled (tested at 3.3Mb/s). There were occasionally people around, but it was unclear whether they were supervision team or builders. On the positives the area was quiet and close to all attractions, rooms clean, hot water hot, parking good, free to use fridge and freezer in the kitchen. Recommended if you are tall and just need a room for one night.
