Dave and his team did a great job of taking down some brickwork, putting in a lintel and a step and turning a bit of a disappointing room into a room with a beautiful view of our garden through large French windows. In particular we like the care and attention he gave to the details of the job, thinking through issues in advance and working well with us to realise our vision for the project. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again, and would gladly recommend them to others.

We have been extremely happy with the work carried out by Cheltenham Woodcraft Ltd on our rear extension. Nothing was too much trouble even when we changed our minds on certain details at the last minute. We found Dave to be reliable and turned up when expected, which was such a positive experience for us having been let down in passed by builders. Cheltenham Woodcraft, led by David Westlake, built an extension on the side of our house in Monmouth, from May to October 2018. The whole side wall of the house was opened and moved over to double the size of the rooms at all levels on that side of the house. Cheltenham Woodcraft successfully tendered for the job and presented clearly costed and timed plans for the work. Once work began, builders or contractors were on site every day and the extension was finished on time. David searched for materials that matched our existing bricks and tiles and was always available to discuss different options and give advice. He took personal responsibility for ensuring the high standard of work. A year on, we are still very satisfied with the quality of the work and would readily recommend Cheltenham Woodcraft for other projects.

Dave Westlake and Cheltenham Woodcraft have just completed a garage conversation for me. From the start Dave was very professional in his manner offering advice on what was best when carrying out this try of work. He and the Electrician gave me a quote for the work which was very competitive. Dave kept me informed of the start date, when the Electrician would need access to house and what the schedule was going to be over the next three weeks. I was able to witness Dave and this team working and the progress of each task. The garage door was replaced by a UPVC door and panel frame which changed the whole appearance from a tried old garage to somewhere you wanted to go to. All the various task was completed to high standard leaving me with one third Garage Workshop and two thirds craft room. All of my neighbours have come around to inspected the conversation and wish they could do something the same. If you are looking for a quality builder, then look no further than Dave Westlake.
