I really enjoy working at Avalon Plastics, Avalon offers those employees who wish to progress within the company the opportunity to reach their goals with internal & external training, I am a great example of this. The business has a great heath & safety culture, with senior management & directors invested in providing a safe working environment for everyone. The manufacturing area can be as you would expect for a company providing customers with plastic components, busy, sometimes noisy & the work can be a little repetitive, if you are not familiar with a factory environment it may take you time to adjust & settle in, however, you are allowed to listen to a personal radio and to drink tea, coffee & cold drinks. During the hot summer months, employees are provided with free cold fizzy drinks & ice lollies that are delivered by the managing director & senior managers. At Christmas time, all employees are given a gift & time off to relax & to spend with their families. Avalon has numerous staff who have been with the company for many years, with a majority of them being employed for over 25-30 years!! I myself have been with Avalon for over 13 years & in that time they have invested in me and given me the opportunity with training to build a career. I look forward to another 13 years.

I have been very impressed with Avalon Plastics as they have supported young people with positive work experiences and they have been incredibly helpful in assisting us in work placement visits. Staff and students have commented on how welcoming and informative staff have been at Avalon Plastics.
