My mother was here for a short time & the staff were really caring, kind & dignified her beyond words. This time of life for any one has its challenges. Ok the building interior is a little on the tired side but I would rather their extremely tight budget go into the care that was really well administered. Its clean & tidy, plenty of day rooms for family privacy. Even for us seeing our loved ones in their twilight years is challenging & the staff were helpful in keeping us honestly informed. Plenty of games, dvd & activities although we didnt stay late it looked like socalable times were arranged. Also noticed the staff dignify the residents allowing them to go to bed, rise, wear what they want (to a reasonable degree) as the staff know this is THEIR home not theirs, their visitors nor their families. Thank you for the staff for being kindly with us too, offering us refreshments all the time. Toilets were spotless.

Staff are great but the building is tired and not inspiring for some of the residents. The front garden, pull in area could do with some TLC

"Neglect Home" is a better description. Purely profit driven. Half the staff simply don't care and are proud to admit they don't do proper checks and just sign the paper work off because, in their words, they "cant be bothered". The other half of the staff are fantastic, caring, and hardworking but have either left, about to leave, or looking for other work because the management and seniors treat them like dogs. The nurses are vile, nasty, and bully the care staff. Management don't address the issue because a) they are friendly with the nurses outside of work, and b) its hard to get nursing staff, and far easier to look the other way. The companies policy of "INCONTINENCE PAD RATIONING"... yes you read that correctly... incontinence pad rationing! - 4 pads per resident per day is disgusting and infuriating. The car park seems to be pretty chaotic at times with management and nursing staff frequently leaving their cars parked opposite the marked parking bays against the pavement for no apparent reason. There are always parking spaces available so there is absolutely no need for it and it only causes an obstruction. It makes it difficult for other staff and visitors to manoeuvre in and out of the official marked parking spaces. In the past this has even caused difficulties for emergency services trying to access the turning circle. I wouldn't want to end my days here, put it that way.

Caring and enthusiastic staff, great food prepared on site and general all round quality care. As it is purpose built all the rooms are the same, which is user friendly. Great gardens to relax in, even with a view of the Tor.
