Service was appalling, the staff just didn't take much in the way of notice to how long customers were waiting to have a menu and have their orders taken. A neighbouring table asked us if we had been waiting long as they'd been waiting a good while themselves One female member of waiting on team had a bit of attitude when we asked if someone could take an order. The cake was dry, Scones and Jam was a poor portion for the cost. We hadn't returned for about 9mth before our last visit as service was poor then, we hoped that things had improved as we used to be regular visitors. About time a very experienced head waiter and team be reinstated especially at a weekend. Its no longer the enjoyable place to eat.

Went here for lunch with 2 friends, we all had fish chips and mushy peas. The fish was amazing, beautiful soft white fish in delicious batter and the peas were good, also the homemade tartar sauce was amazing. I knocked a star off for the chips, they were dreadful, chunky, obviously frozen, dry, possibly oven baked I mean why not do decent chips with fish as good as this? Then I would have said best fish and chips ever! might go again but definitely would not order chips sorry
