Gillingham is not bestowed with the best pubs in the world but fair play to Past & Present for providing this small oasis for discerning ale drinkers. It's a long, narrow split-level micropub with a bar down one side at the back. They will serve you here but they also have table service (a rare welcome hangover from the pandemic perhaps). Three cask beers (two Wantsum pale ales and a bitter from someone I can't recall) and a strong Belgian beer on keg St-Feuillien Blonde all very reasonably priced. My own criticism was a musty damp smell although I'm not sure whether that came from the pub or the customers! Could do with some more imaginative dcor.

Our first visit to Gillingham, and really pleased we found this lovely Ale House. Comfortable and made to feel welcome from when we walked through the door. Great beer in good company. Thank you.
