Very good hospital and very good doctor who took care of me. I don't know why this hospital has this bad reviews!

I was seen by a Dr at Medooc Medway Hospital at 3am and can only offer praise and gratitude for the way I was treated for an issue with my balance linked to an ear issue. All the medical staff I spoke too in A&E were brilliant and especially the triage nurse who examined me.....thank you you all do a fantastic job.

This one star is aimed at one of the receptionist that my poor family member had to deal with at roughly 11:45 on 1/3/23, upon arrival my family member had to book into medocc reception, the receptionist had a vile attitude and tone of voice. A poster states on the glass screen that surrounds the reception area that any abuse won't be tolerated,how about the receptionist needs to have a read aswell this should stand for both patient and staff.I sat in medocc from 11:45-20:00 and whilst this woman was working there she was damm right rude. This woman needs to change before someone really let's them know what they think.

I phoned this evening around 7pm after ringing around to see if I can get some antibiotics as my gums swollen and painful swollen mouth, I spent ages trying to get through, finally after an hour I got through, went through the questions and was advised to ring another number for some antibiotics and told they would be open from 9am-9pm. I Phoned the number, no answer - the out of hours dentist number they gave me was closed until Monday and 9am - 5pm!! I was given wrong information by the woman on the phone so now I'm back to square one! Completely fobbed off!!!

At 4.30pm on Friday l phoned 111 and had to wait a while. The phone was answered by a pleasant lady with a very clear voice. She said someone would phone me back from Medocc. This happened at about 10.30pm. I was told that l could come in at about 11pm. I said l couldnt get there until morning,so the lady said that l would be called in about ten minutes to make an early morning appointment. This call came at 1.45am and the appointment was for 7.30am. I was seen quickly and had preliminary tests done and an appointment was made for me to come back the next day at 1.30pm. I was seen very quickly for a doppler scan of my leg,and had to wait a very short time for the results. Apart from the long waits for Medocc to get back to me, l think it is well worth getting an appointment lined up before you go.
