The cake was 5 large tiers and was displayed at my 400 person wedding. We selected a design from his catalogue and made a few modifications (plus some last day changes) and it came out even better than I had expected. Everyone was not only impressed with the sheer heft and beauty of the cake. But also the taste, it was absolutely amazing. You can instantly tell a lot of care and attention went into every aspect of it.
From this experience my advice would be to avoid the large wedding cake companies and support your local, highly experienced businesses.
