BIRD Hempstead Valley

Nandos nextdoor was busy and I was really hungry I didn't want to wait so i came here, what a bloody mistake that was. resturant was empty (2 occupied tables) 20 mins to take a food order, 40 mins for food. And waited further 20 mins to bring the bill that I got fed up and walked to the cashier to pay it there and walked out. Food was really bad, chicken tenders were ok nothing special, staff have got no communication skills or sense of initiative they just flap around, this place isn't going to last very long here in Hempstead. If the owner is reading this, your staff need training and how to speak to people, tell hungry people like myself " sorry about the wait I'll be with u in a minute" or if you walk past me " is everything OK would you like more drinks"? Your staff are basically useless, they can follow an order but can't create a good atmosphere for people to even think of coming back to eat here again.

I am a longtime fan of BIRD, having frequented the Shoreditch branch when that was around, and also the pop-up in Westfield Stratford plenty of times. When the HV branch was announced, I was over the moon. I ordered a takeaway from BIRD via Deliveroo. The delivery was speedy, the food was delicious and everything was good quality. I wouldve given 5*, however my extra thigh in the burger was missing. Aside from that minor detail, everything was great.

Not great , can't see them being in business over the coming months. The wings and tenders are microwaved. Piping hot in the centre of the bowl but cold on the outside. One of the waitresses was nice, the rest of them were put out it seems as it was near closing. Best of luck but won't be back
