Fished here today, looking at the catch log there had been plenty of fish landed yesterday 29/12/22. Most caught on Lures and a few on Buzzers. Today conditions difficult with a gusty wind but plenty of pegs fishable on all 3 pools. Today I fished Woodside pool and caught on an okdoky about 2ft under a bung. Fishing Dons using a floating line 10ft leader with an Orange lure on point and a cormorant on the dropper with a slow retrieve both flies taking fish, total of 4 using this method.

Great place for tranquility and a spot of fly fishing. I learned from the instructor Andy here and he was really good. Its my nearest fishery and glad i managed to get an instructor near it! There's also a small shop where you can buy things, a wooden cabin for the anglers and a clean toilet should one need it. Recommend one to visit here, especially beginners

Was tipped off a few years ago my name and area I was from was on the banned list board in the cabin for using bait !!!!! . Seeing as Id not fished Martin for a couple of years I was disgusted to say the least . I turned up to see for myself. And yes my unusual surname with my first name was on the board . Informed Taylor I was not impressed and suggested he got proof. Driving licence . Or Bank card before sticking some innocent persons name on his Naughty Board . Lucky I did not seek legal advice

Well stocked and very well kept areas around all of the three pools. A big shed for your refreshments also a separate toilet. Beautiful area with a feeling of "in the middle of nowhere" even though it's only a short distance from the A34.
