LESS THAN POOR. Ordered a skip for 2pm delivery, I arrived on site at 12:30 to be told by a colleague working in one of the other workshops that the skip had already been and that the driver had said the lorry wouldn't fit in the driveway. My colleague insisted that the driver should try but despite the 50mm+ clearance each side of the lorry, refused to proceed any further. I should like to first point out that skips from Kelly W (as with most places) are cash on delivery, even if the skip been successfully dropped off, I would not have been on site to pay the driver as he had not stuck to the original delivery time. Between the hours of 1pm and 2pm I called them 3 or 4 times and left 2 messages insisting that they should return at the specified time to attempt re-delivery of the skip. At 2pm the two men assisting me in the clearance of the site turned up as planned. I again phoned Kelly W at 2:15 to inform them that I was waiting for my skip and was running at a loss. I phoned them again at 2:30 and informed them that the situation remained unchanged and I was now running at further loss. At approximately 2:50, I phoned Atkinson's skip hire who delivered a skip within half an hour and whose skilled driver had no problems getting his van up the drive with exactly the same, if not less clearance than Kelly W. I then phoned Kelly W to tell them not to bother with the skip. All in all, it was 3:30 before the lads and I started clearing the site after standing around for 1.5 hours waiting for a skip. Atkinson's were well worth the 20 more and I'm still waiting for a return call from Kelly W. Steer well clear of Kelly W.
