My son has attended Liz's Kumon classes in Low Fell for four years now (he studies maths). Maths used to be one of his weaker subjects, now it's one of his strengths & I know this is due to Kumon. He's so much more confident with it too. Liz is a dedicated, super organised instructor. She has a lovely calm & supportive manner with the children. The daily workbooks with the twice weekly sessions really concentrate the child's mind. As a parent you know they are spending time each day working on their subject and you can see their progress too. During lockdown Liz performed brilliantly. She adapted her processes so the children continued to do their daily workbooks. The workbooks were hand delivered (through the letterbox) each fortnight & because the twice weekly sessions weren't allowed Liz provided both group & individual Zoom sessions. Liz is always quick to respond to messages & keeps parents up to date frequently via email & private WhatsApp messages. I highly recommend Liz's Low Fell Kumon.

Our children have been attending Kumon Gateshead - Low Fell centre for some years now. It has not only helped them at school but also improved their overall attitude to learning. They look forward to going to the centre because Liz and her assistants are patient and very helpful. Probably more patient than their mum and I . Liz is always enthusiastic to offer support and advice whenever required. I particularly find her detailed feedback on our children's progress insightful and helpful. To find such a person who is genuinely interested in how well our children are doing is amazing and we couldn't ask for more. Liz and her team has made Kumon a wonderful experience for my family.

We moved to Newcastle in 2012. Since then my son has been doing Kumon under the expert supervision of Liz Burrin. I asked him of his opinion about Liz & Kumon before doing this review He replied that Liz has been the most caring and patient teacher that he ever came across and that Kumon helped him achieve all the academic success till to date. He started senior school this year. We as parents think that Liz has played a role much more wider than just an instructor for our son. She supported and encouraged him in his academic & extra-curricular activities. My wife and myself sought advice and help from Liz from time to time and she was always willing to give us her time and a well balanced advice. We whole heartedly recommend Liz and Kumon programme for any child
