Impossible company to deal with!!! Ascendant make some good quality, simple machines, BUT they have ZERO after-care/customer support. Communications (via phone and email) are frustratingly erratic and unreliable, despite well-meaning staff. How the company is still in business is a mystery. They seem to employ only 3 staff, whose workloads are monstrous. So it takes days for a response to a simple enquiry... Such as a price of a part! They carry hardly any stock of spare parts so everything has to be ordered in specially, which can take weeks in many cases. Yes, that means if you have a simple issue with your Ascendant hoist it may end up disabled and unusable for over 2 months whilst parts are ordered. This is the case for their current models, even! It is difficult to find generic spares from alternative sources (e.g. Hydraulic valves, etc.) because Ascendant provide no cross-reference information and, seemingly, none of the hydraulic suppliers' cross ref material covers the Ascendant brand. You cannot run a profitable business if one of your key assets is unusable for weeks on end. Therefore, Ascendant cannot be relied upon.
