Just happened to come across this place whilst on a short cut. Now we visit regular... Fantastic outdoor area for when the weather is good, reminded me of being on holiday

My parents had their Golden wedding anniversary gathering here this weekend and I would honestly say despite having a good day I would in future avoid this place. The staff were very nice and helpful but their costs were a rip off and the venue was very dated with quite a bit of work needed. The food was just very poor - I personally found a shard of metal in my food and what we thought was cheese and ham sandwiches was actually chunks of butter and ham. Examples...the pictures of the food here cost them 700 and to allow them to have cupcakes that a member of the family gave them they charged 45 extra. The venue did nothing to make them, present them or anything. If we were to take a cake they wanted to charge 2.50 per person to cut it!!! The tables in the outside area needed cleaning and had sharp edges which was not good for the young kids and we even saw slug trails on the inside walls and carpets. I'm sorry Crofters for the cost I think you ripped off my parents and if that's what you need to do to get cash in then that's disgusting and maybe its a blessing that you will be closing down in the coming months.
