Over 50 years old myself, currently living in Morecambe and currently in full time employment based in South Lancaster, but considering whether to buy a residential park home anywhere in North West England preferably, and Burlingham Park in Garstang is one potential site i have my eyes on. However the problem with residential park homes is that you cannot get a mortgage, nor cannot obtain a loan to buy one as such. I have the revenue to obtain a deposit, but as i had previously mentioned my one and only hope of buying a residential park home is by paying the full cash amount of the relevant home in question. One advantage of this site is the low ground rent, site fee or pitch fee which is roughly over 1,000 plus per annum, and if only there was a rent to buy scheme, or other alternative then i could be in a position to buy a residential park home, either outright or through a bank loan as a mortgage through a lender is out of the question concerning residential park homes !
