I work at Milton House. I am proud and privileged to do so. I have a lifetime of nursing experience so I do know what I'm talking about. The team are amazing, kind caring people who regularly go the extra mile for the benefit of our residents. I feel supported, I am regularly reminded of my contribution to the home. I would not hesitate to place my loved one at Milton House. We have faced unprecedented challenges over the last few years throughout all the regulations and constant changes in guidance we have sustained service, always with a smile. Each and every member of the team is conscientious, caring and kind.

My uncle lived at Milton House for the final 18 months of his life. The care he received from all the staff was outstanding, they were very attentive to his deteriorating health needs, he could not have been in better hands.

My husband spent 5 months their . The home is lovely his room was very comfy and clean . Most of the carers were great nice and polite. But they struggled to support his mental and physical needs and keep him clean . I used to go visit him and find him dirty and a couple of the carers had no patience and understanding of his mental needs. I also found the management to lie about things that happened I could never understand how I got told one thing by carers and nurses and another from management. So I have been forced with moving him as his needs were not met. If your a lovely little old lady its probably the home for you . But male with neurological issues then they struggle also very regularly short staffed which didnt help them get time with residents. A positive was the food was very nice and varied and choices but felt management let it down In reply to your comment If I would have found him in good health I would have been able to have great visits with out any intervention from me But finding my loved one covered in poo And wet I can never not comment or try clean him up I am sure you would not want to see your loved ones in a state And because he has neurological problems if you talk to him respectfully and with empathy he would have responded and be more willing What made me more angry was the lies as management told me But like I said most of your carers and nurses were Excellent Just a few badly trained ones

My Dad,Alan, from the day he was transferred from Airedale hospital to Milton house, was treated with love and kindness by everyone there! I cannot give enough praise. It was a very hard time as it was June,2020 and I had gone from caring for Dad myself to giving the task to strangers. Those strangers became my rocks and good friends. I was unable to visit Dad as much as I would have wanted due to Covid restrictions but always knew he was in very capable hands and kept so very clean and comfortable! He had very complex needs that were met. I was confident and content. I rang daily for reports and the staff who answered filled me in on his daily chats with them. I knew he was loved as they told me things that only he would have said. That means they listen and you can't put a price on that! Dad died on the 14 th April last year. I was with him in the wee small hours with my little dog! I sang to him just as staff had sung with him during that final year! At his funeral there were eight of us! Four of whom were from Milton house, the owner,Ama,Kate the manager and Becky and Molly, the nurses who Dad loved dearly. I thank them all from the bottom of my heart. That's true love and friendship. Kate says I am now part of the Milton house family and it's exactly how I feel. A bench sits next to the door engraved for both my parents and I hope everyone will look up A Gradely Prayer and take it to their hearts. I was taught it by my Dad as a youngster and,in these unprecedented times,we should all abide by the sentiments. They certainly do at Milton house. Thankyou and I love you for caring!

My aunt (Barbara) has been at Milton house for nearly a year. I have had lots of experience dealing with several nursing homes and can honestly say this is the most caring and profesional one I have encounted. The staff are always welcoming, friendly and profesional. I live some distant away (liverpool) and I am reassured in knowing she is being cared for and is happy. It is a pleasure to go and visit.
