A fantastic night for all the family

We used the conveyancers and we won't be using them in future. Our solicitor went on holiday for two weeks without letting us know. We waited 4 weeks for searches to come back, only to be told that they forgot to send them and could we lie to the vendor and estate agent and say they were lost in the post! We didn't receive paperwork that they were disputing over and when we did have questions as first time buyers, no one wanted to answer them, as I suppose they limit how much time they actually spend on individual clients, so they get their extortionate pay. After we'd moved, we received some papers we didn't know about the house that we would have queried before exchange of contracts, previous owners wage slips and parts of the deeds to someone else's house! Basically you're paying your 1.5K for a few brief chats with a receptionist who doesn't know what they're talking about.
