        Purchased a dumpy bag of logs for home delivery from Mr Sinfield. I was informed that the logs had been seasoned for two years and therefore ready to burn. The logs look to be scots pine, but have a very high moisture level and are completely unsuitable for burning in a wood stove. This has caused huge problems, as I still need to source some logs before Christmas. More seriously, passing off unseasoned logs as ready to burn is hugely iresponsible, as attempting to burn these logs will cause a cresote build up in chimneys and flues, leading to potential fire. In addition to this the logs in their unseasoned state give off very little heat. Mr Sinfield has refused to collect and refund the payment for the logs, stating that he never claimed that they were seasoned. I will be reporting this to the relevent authorities due the fact that Mr Sinfield has a legal obligation to ensure the safety of his customers.
