        Let's be" nice to everybody" non committed can't enforce the law even if it endangers your neighbours

        Have spent the afternoon trying to get some simple planning advice after queuing on a call advised to use portal which is too generic so another long call back to the same person who the only advice she could give was to use the portal. Waste of time.

        I wish people leaving one star would back that up with a detailed reason why. Every time I've needed to contact the council in person or on the phone it's been no drama. Staff friendly and as helpful as they can be. Classic example - called up as the bins weren't emptied when they were scheduled (Thursday). Quick call and they are being done on Monday. Zero effort to solve. I've been in with various queries over the last year and always have been met with polite and professional staff. This despite central government cutting their budgets to the bone over the last decade.
