Absolute joke of a surgery... spoke with (female) Dr Neville who said because I get a certain form of medication which is more costly to the NHS, it is unfair for me to get this form of medication as I personally am "taking away treatment from other patients" (I explained to her why I need it in this form, and yes it is necessary as prescribed by previous surgery). It was VERY reluctantly prescribed, no doubt I will need to fight for it again when I need more of it.... I am absolutely disgusted with the doctors attitude, needless to say the lack of professionalism... would she of said that to the drunks that appear I'm AnE on a Saturday wasting precious NHS funding, I highly doubt she would! Previous to this medications have been removed from my repeat prescriptions without discussing with me, which were also prescribed for good reason by previous surgery. Clearly they are determined to save the NHS single handedly...and it appears that it is all my fault, or so they have made me feel. Perhaps they should take their issues to parliament and have a word with Boris rather than affecting patient care. I'm not happy.... not happy at all.

I don't normally like to leave reviews like this, but I'm at a loss now over what I should do, because if I call the surgery I can never get past the same receptionist who won't help with this. My teenage son has an appointment for his consultation next week, regarding his upcoming operation which his doctor was wonderful about, very reassuring and understanding about my son's fears. The same doctor called and left a voicemail some weeks ago, asking me to get in touch as there were some issues with his past medical records (I know exactly what the issue is - his name has been legally changed, but his previous surgery never changed it on their records). But each time myself or my husband call, we end up speaking to the same snippy receptionist who insists the doctor didn't call, despite the fact I have a voicemail and a call log to show that he has in fact called multuple times. The receptionist tries to get us off the phone as quickly as possible, saying she'll tell the doctor to call us, but clearly that hasn't happened. My mother in law was in the surgery and was asked by the doctor (the same doctor as my son has) to get us to call him about his records. Again, both of us tried, both met by the same snippy receptionist who seems uninterested. I wouldn't normally mention this part either, because I know mistakes happen BUT; my repeat meds were also messed up. They only gave me half of them. I know why this happened; my meds were raised. But all the receptionist cared about was snapping at my husband and telling him it was the doctor/hospital at fault. Is that sort of attitude really necessary? But the more important issue is my son and I hope someone will contact me. The doctors at this surgery are so so good, it's such a shame that a receptionist with an attitude brings things down, especially when it intereferes with treatment.
