A quaint campsite with gorgeous cliff-top views over Robin Hoods Bay. Grass and gravel pitches. It's a short walk from the coast path (3.5 hours to Whitby) and the Cinder track, an old railway line (half hour to Robin Hoods Bay, 2.5 hours to Whitby, and bike friendly). Restrooms: The toilet block is a number of wet rooms, each with a toilet, sink and shower - the showers with proper taps that don't need repeatedly pressing. Outdoor pot washing under cover.

Booked for a short two night stay and will definitely be returning and recommending to others due to beautiful location and lovely facilities. We found it really easy to book and the email communications included clear directions and information for arrival. The man that checked us in was friendly and gave us information about the local area and how to walk to Robin Hood's bay. He took the time to explain the site including water points, rubbish disposal and toilets / showers even though it was raining. We were taken away by the view and liked the fact that the site was sectioned up by rose hedges and we're allowed to choose where to camp rather than given a specific pitch. The walk down to the cinder track is steep and rocky but we'll signposted and easy to navigate even when returning in the dark. Though a light on the gate that leads off the cinder track might be useful as the sign was hard to read. The shower block and washing facilities were well maintained and clean with plenty of room to shower and change and better water pressure and temperature than may sites I have previously stayed at. As some people have mentioned this is situated down a narrow country lane and you have to drive through a working farm. This was no issue for us and completely justifies the strictness on check in / out times and the clear rules about visitors, music, and dogs. As long as you follow these clear and justified rules and instructions I don't see any reason why you would have an issue at this site. After reading other reviews I suspect that this is the main reason some people might have had issues here but we found the person managing the site very friendly, helpful and welcoming.
