The process of purchasing our new car was very straightforward. On collection day, our sales assistant Kevin was very helpful with any queries we had and provided excellent customer service.

Would leave zero stars if possible. During test drive my partner identified a noise while braking and was promised by the salesman George that this would be investigated during the 140 point check. Roll forward to collection day had to wait 3 hours to collect the car as it hadnt been valeted. Ive never had such a protracted handover and Ive purchased many cars from main dealers. While driving home we could still hear the braking noise. After 1 week a warning light came on, called CityGate who said we could use a local dealer (were in Herts). On calling the local VW dealer it came to light that there were 3 safety recalls on the car dating from 2021, which makes us wonder if the 140 point check actually happened. So we called CityGate asking for evidence of the 140 point check and was told it would be emailed over that day, obviously no email was received. Called again the next and spoke to Nathanial who was very apologetic and promised us he would get a plan actioned and call us with it by the end of the day, obviously no call back. Have called again this morning, was told Nathanial would call us back, but 2hrs later were still waiting.. Avoid this dealership, the sales and after sales are appalling, definitely cannot recommend

Roll forward to collection day had to wait 3 hours to collect the car as it hadnt been valeted. Ive never had such a protracted handover and Ive purchased many cars from main dealers. While driving home we could still hear the braking noise.
