DO NOT put your relatives in this home unless they have family members that are able to constantly fight their corner in order for them to even receive basic care such as daily personal hygiene. Our father had the misfortune of experiencing this from 2010 - January 2023 when he sadly passed away unexpectedly on his own in his room. As his daughter I had to constantly email or call on his behalf if I was unable to visit to ensure his daily needs were being met, twice in the years he was there it got so bad that I raised safe guarding concerns as we were that concerned about his poor care, only for management to give false assurances that things would improve. The staff are poorly managed and there is always new faces which made it extremely hard for our father to try to familiarise himself with names and faces. Several times when staff were supposed to come in to our fathers room to check on him my brother and I witnessed staff just putting their hands through a gap in the door to take the observation book and sign it without evening coming in the room. We know this as we were in the room visiting our dad at different times. Despite having a call bell this gave no reassurance to our dad that help was at hand. My brother witnessed call bells flashing on the boards in the corridor and staff deciding amongst themselves who was going to respond. I could go on and on with the concerns we raised, I know people might think it would of been easier to move our dad to another home but we had to respect our dads choices and he did not want the upheaval of having to move and start the whole process over again in somewhere different and possibly end up in the same predicament. Our dad had the misfortune of having to be admitted to hospital several times in 2022 due to problems around his Peg site not being cared for correctly at this home and another time when he contracted a serious rash that spread all over his torso and the duty doctor who attended misdiagnosed the condition resulting in our father left sat in his bed at the home and finally bring admitted to hospital. Fast forward to January 2023 when I received a phone call early morning from a nurse informing me our father had passed away. The shock hearing this over the phone is something I will never forget. I went straight to the home only to find our father on the floor dead and police and staff in and out of his room. I sat with our dad absolutely heartbroken until a private ambulance came for him. Our dad was 83 years old. I can not believe that this home received a rating of GOOD from CQC !!! There was nothing good about this home at all. The reason I have given 1 star is to allow me to post this review.

This is just a money making business, they only want easy residents. They dont want to care for people who have issues.Received a phone call the same day after dropping my love one to come pick them up as they couldent cope. They have no patience or time for new scared residents. These are supposed to be trained professionals especially within the dementia sector. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND.

My loved one has been there for three years. They have NEVER been out wearing an outfit of their own clothes. Never. Recently they were sent out with no socks and leather shoes. In November. With circulation issues. Apparently they had refused to wear socks because there weren't any in their room when they were getting ready and they were too excited to meet us and did not want staff to delay by finding and adding socks. Yes this is frustrating for staff, but tell me, why were there no socks? Issues like this, with wearing one's own clothes are genuinely defined as institutional abuse. My previous review is better, but not greatly improved: No safeguarding process information. Staff do not know safeguarding procedures.
