Virtual Golf Lounge

An absolute gem of a place that I give myself a pat on the back for finding! Tucked around the back of the lovely pub called The Black Horse (and also behind their farm shop) is a cabin. Once you enter you are in golfing paradise. You can book 1 or 2 hour slots. Each group has a bay to themselves. You can play a host of famous courses from the golf circuit or you can play top golf style mini games. There is a bar service so you order your drinks and they phone the order through to the pub. Drinks arrived promptly any time we asked for them. There is even a small breakfast and snack menu to choose from. I will definitely be visiting again!

Had a great evening at the Black Horse in Fulmer. Food and atmosphere was excellent and even felt the frustrations of playing St Andrews for real. Would highly recommend this place to all golfers and even none golfers!!

After turning up at this impressive pub with not only a large farm shop, in a barn, at the back, we were welcomed in, by the owners, to an even more impressive barn with three very high tech golf simulators. After settling in with a round of drinks, which were ordered and brought to your table, we cracked on with our round of golf. We thought we would break ourselves in gently, so, decided to play The Old Course at St. Andrews, lol. I must say, the graphics on the screen are most impressive and it does actually feel like you're hitting a ball on The Old Course. It took a while to get used to the indoor surroundings, but I soon forgot about that and started to really enjoy it. The one thing I did find was I had to go a club longer for fairway shots which wasn't a problem at all. At half way we took a break, and again, ordered table service for food; I had the Cheeseburger with Bacon and Fat Chips and it was superb. We finished the game and I managed to score 95, which definitely wouldn't happen if I were actually there, ha ha. The game took about three hours with food and drinks breaks and a lot of chatting with the owners; this could be cut down significantly if just concentrating on the golf. To sum up, I absolutely loved my time on the simulator and will definitely be back; if they open one up closer to where I live, (Rochester); I will be going there two or three times a month in the winter. The cost of playing is excellent too, if a group of four of you go for three hours, it works out at just over 20 each, now that's good value for money, see you soon guys !!!
