I had known Ajhan Khemadhammo since 1988 and been visiting Forest Hermitage regularly, taking alms and offering to drive him around in his noble work. I had taken my sisters along too. However, I have observed changes especially in his deafening silence when I enquired about his own viewpoints on Buddhist Temples in Sri Lanka keeping elephants tethered to trees for prestige values and showing them off caparisoned for the occasion in annual processions carrying Lord Buddhas relics ! Thats NOT in keeping with his teachings! I had the same deafening silence from the London Buddhist Vihara (Ven Bandula) on the subject! I am a Buddhist and believe in compassion to all beings. Buddhist monks in Sri Lanka are actively engaging in politics, running temples on business lines and destroying Buddhism though they are supposed to be the guardians!

They are happy to take your money and food, but when it comes to their end of the bargin and you need some guidance in a time of need, you become invisible and unheard. Seek spirituality elsewhere.

Extremely relaxing environment for Meditation retreats. Very tempting to forget this phantom world and join them.
