French General Trading

Found this place by accident while walking up church street in FROME. Several hours, 6 Oysters, and a lovely bottle of Cremant later I walked away with the most wonderful Empire Chandelier and Mirror. French General Trading is so much more than an Antique Shop, Caf Bar. For those in the know, its a sanctuary.

Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, always pop in to have a look when in Frome. Cool collection of antiques and good selection of french themed food and drink available :)

I bought a chandelier for 600 and never heard another thing. Polly refused to reply to me and refused to refund me. I had to claim through my bank to get a refund.

Nearly one week ago I went into this shop to buy a painting for Xmas for my mother, I wanted it delivered to Lancashire, yesterday 1st December I rang several times to speak with someone with regards to finding out what was happening with my order. Nobody answered the phone, so I went down to the shop in the afternoon. I was not greeted well just looked at. I asked about whether the painting was delivered to be told they are not sure what is happening with the order. I asked whether the painting had been sent in the post just to be told it should be taken either today or tomorrow. I asked for a tracking number but was never offered this in the first place. I am still unsure when the order will be delivered. Very poor customer service in this business with staff not caring about customer service. I would not recommend going into this shop if u want good customer service.
