I had a fantastic anti-ageing facial yesterday with Oana at the Frome salon. Im an elderly woman and wondered if it would really be worth trying, but I enjoyed every moment of the pampering treatment, and came out with my skin so much softer and smoother that Ive already had a couple of compliments. I cant wait to go back!

Very Unprofessional. I had an important event coming up and booked a service the day before. The day of I received two phone calls, one from a restricted number I could not ring back and one (an hour before my appointment!) from one of the staff, leaving a voice message to ring about my appointment. I rang back before my appointment as soon as I could and there was no answer and no way to leave a message. Nothing. I then walked all the way there in the dark to stand in front of the closed salon. I rang again, no answer, no option to leave a message. I left and booked another appointment with another salon. I rang in the morning to find out what happened and all I heard were excuses. They said they had tried to ring the day before but hadn't reached me, (which I have no record of on my phone). Isn't it the business's responsibility to get in touch with someone who has an appointment and not leave it on the day with no way to leave a message? Isn't it also professional for the one message they left to maybe say the appointment had at least been cancelled so I would know what was happening? This salon has many good reviews but it seems, unfortunately, I am the one to have had poor service. I would only recommend this salon if there was no alternative and not if it is for anything important or time sensitive. Hopefully in future they will sort their communication situation out and be more customer focused. This is my edit to answer their response: 1. no I was not aware it was a provisional appointment or I would have had the responsibility to confirm it. That's a fair miscommunication, not sure by whom. 2. I also have the call logs to prove I rang 3 times that evening twice before my appointment and when I was stood outside, at 6:15. That is well within your regular business hours you mentioned in the response, no one answered and no one rang me back. 3. I was so put off by the whole thing I felt I needed to let you know how shocked I was at the unprofessionalism I experienced, so that is why I rang the following day. Any "rudeness"came about from the staff I spoke to constantly defending their position instead of just apologising and saying how unfortunate it was that I only received a message asking me to ring back about an appointment an hour before it, and no one answering my return calls during business hours. 4. The discounted or free service was only offered as a last option and based on the defensiveness of the staff and general unprofessionalism, I had already decided not to do business with this establishment again. Best of luck in your continuing journey to offer the most professional service you can.

Very Unprofessional.
I had an important event coming up and booked a service the day before.
