Needs lots of work this place... only 30 days in for the new team but from a place to eat point of view I'd try a New Chef. Raw Chicken..blamed on the Local Butcher??? errr I think the Chef cooks the Chicken not the Butcher. 1hr 45mins for the food to come out. Childrens starters were poor to be polite, main meals (Sunday Menu) were again poor. Only the Puddings saved it from being a 1 star. Could be a great place this but needs to up its food game a lot. Raw food is a no no, Raw Chicken is a NO.

Under new management- AVOID. Visited twice over a weekend. Once for a drink, once to eat. Manager seemed to serve others in turn before me (locals?) at the bar. I marked his card. Next day 6 of us made a booking for Sunday evening. (Only walkable place from campsite). Tables were so close I felt like I was with the people on the next table. Forgot our drink order, no apology. Ran out of items from meals, only telling us after wed ordered, roast potatoes were like pebbles. 16 boggo burger was dry and pink. Manager said all their meat is served pink (medium rare). All their meat is not served medium rare, and it does not state this on the menu. I like medium rare steak for context. Manager said theyd deduct the burger from the bill and replaced it. Table behind asked how our food was as theyd had issues with their lamb, and their chicken was bleeding and RAW. Puddings were nice. When paying the bill the manager had forgotten to deduct the burger. Took the burger off and a further 10%. I explained our food had been less than satisfactory, but more worryingly the table next to us had received raw chicken, and this was dismissed. I explained the health risk posed by raw chicken and again he didnt seem to give a monkeys.

Stopped for a pint on the way home good service good larger would definitely stop again
