Knotting Hill Barn House

We were a party of 8, celebrating a 50th & had a fantastic and memorable weekend. The cosy barn has comfortable beds, a very well equipped kitchen and a fantastic stereo. The barn is surrounded by nature & we spotted wild birds, hares & pheasants from the property. We walked over the fields to the farm shop, took advantage of the milk and coffee at the novel dairy vending machine & enjoyed a great Sunday Lunch in the nearby village. Ali (local caterer) provided dinner on the first night which I highly recommend - her salads lasted all weekend. Wed all definitely love to return.

If you are looking for accommodation where you can truly relax and chill out, then look no further than Knotting Hill Barn House. The accommodation is 5 star! The barn is fully equipped with everything you will need and is fitted out to a very high standard. My family and I (5 adults) made good use of the outdoor hot tub, the pizza oven, the outdoor fire pit and the indoor wood burner. Star gazing from the hot tub is a memory we will cherish. No light pollution at all if you turn off the outside lights. The fairy lights around the woodland are also a magical touch. We spent many hours playing games, chilling out and cooking together. We also enjoyed a couple of beautiful countryside walks to the nearby villages of Ashby Folville and Great Dalby. Each has a lovely pub (please note: they do not serve food every day in the winter so check before you walk if you want food). Great Dalby has a milk vending machine in the milk shed at the T junction. It also sells the most amazing milk shakes and cheeses!

Great for a family stay if you want to get off grid and enjoy time together. Plenty of room for adults and children to play. 3 Sons took 2 small goals and played football like they did as children.I arranged a Treasure hunt for the grand children. We had Canoe time, pizza oven lunches, hot tub soaks. A good place to take a morning run with a lovely scenic view. In the evening Board game challenges. We cooked on the BBQ.and more. It was a good one for our collective memory bank. A well equipped barn, with some special touches. I can recommend it.

We had a family reunion at Knotting Hill Barn, my son noticed the sign as you arrive telling you are entering a stress free zone and immediately said he took and deep breath and never looked back. What a fabulous location for a family get together , a starry BBQ, the grandchildren enjoyed the canoes , caught some fish, catch and release, we had a rainy walk across the fields to the local pub and family sports day on the woodland clearing. What could be better , we look forward to returning Thankyou Peter and staff.
