We have moved to insight Frimley after needing in depth eye care for our family. Weve been regular customers now for over two years. We were recommended insight through Frimley eye hospital as a reputable, local business for knowledgeable and honest service. We are so glad! insight identified things that had not been picked up at a larger chain store in town. The small, consistent team know us and their care, kindness and professionalism feels personalised. And they know their stuff! They quickly identified a colorimetry test for an assessment for Mears Irlen syndrome and made tinted lenses which has had a huge impact on my daughters grades and happiness.

I thought I'd try a different optician for a change and I really regret that decision due to the bad handling of my complaints. With the first pair of Varifocals, I was not able to read the smallest of print on the example sheet that the dispensing optician gave to me (even though he directed me to a line that was not the smallest print and that I could even read with the long distance part of my glasses (trying to fool the customer here?!)). The reading area in one lens was working for me but in the other lens the same text kept being blurry. So this was the complaint I brought back to the shop. I was now booked in for a second eye test which I had another week later. Nothing much had changed about my eyes, so finally it was decided that I should get new lenses. Unfortunately, this second pair was actually making me dizzy. So we went back to the shop after a week to complain about this. The optician didn't seem to be very inclined to deal with my complaint as he kept mentioning that he wasn't making any money on the glasses he sold me if he had to replace them again. Frankly, for almost 500 pounds I expect better service and when I report a fault in the lens that I can specify the way I did, I expect to be offered either a refund or a new set of glasses and not having to 'convince' the optician of the validity of my complaint!!! Finally, the optician agreed to replace them but this time with going for Bifocals which I picked up 2 weeks later. These lenses are cheaper but no refund for the difference in cost was offered nor any apology for the bad service that I received at this optician. Buyer beware!!!
