My aunt became a resident off Little Hayes a few weeks ago. To be honest I was concerned about her going there after hearing many not so good stories about the home. Well I can report it is an excellent home. My aunt is settled, she is: in her words is well cared for, fed and watered! In my words: The staff are fantastic, kind, caring, chatty and cheerful too not only the residents but to the families and visitors. This is all members off the staff of Little Hayes, from carers, chefs, laundry, and cleaners, activity co-ordinator, night staff in fact the whole team. The manager Sam, made us feel very welcomed and ensured the transition into the home for my aunt was pretty seamless. My aunt could have her own bits and pieces including a new double bed in her room, making it feel like home from home. Very Important. The meals are off a very good standard. The staff constantly making teas and coffees for the residents, in fact nothing is too much trouble. I and my aunt have no problem with recommending Little Hayes. I can walk out of Little Hayes door and feel relaxed and not worry about my aunt, which has not happened for a very long time!

Really lovely care home. Residents are walking around the house like its their own and all seem happy. My relatives room is quite big and ensuite. They think its their own home that they live in. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Its always clean and tidy. Lift to get upstairs. Has an enclosed garden. Feels very secure and safe. Very small visitors car park but looks like there is on street parking. Very easy to find if you follow directions on Google Maps and has a sign for the entrance to it.

This place is amazing for our Mum...she is so well looked after and the staff so caring that she feels safe and comfortable, able to live with dignity and respect there for the past 8 months and now on a permanent basis. We cant recommend it highly enough.

High staff turnover. No updates. No contact on hospital admissions. Avoid this place. Left a friend bruised.

My mum came to Little Hayes earlier this month and is settling in really well. Sadly she had another stroke and then a fall at home and after 4 days in hospital needed full time care to recover. The staff have been so helpful and made a very hard decision for us so easy as we immediately knew that mum would be safe and warm and looked after around the clock so she can get her confidence back. They are so respectful and thoughtful to all the residents, giving them all the quality of life they deserve. There are so many activities for her to get involved with and she feels so at home. Nothing was too much bother to get her room (which has a sea view!) homely for her. She is improving every day thanks to the team. The new management are also doing a fabulous job of redecorating and making some improvements.
