        Beautiful setting , house has been restored to when Lord Tennyson owned it. Very professional set up , knowledgeable staff, head sets while visiting each room. Gardens are tranquil with benches to appreciate the flowers and wildlife.

        Easy parking, visit the gardens 4.00,visit the house and garden 13.00 .gardens were beautiful despite it being autumn, very well maintained. The house was guided tours preferably pre booked ,the team of staff were very friendly and helpful.full of wonderful knowledge and facts ,made it all come to life .there was lots of uneven surfaces and stairs so not ideal for people with mobility issues. There was a toilet block which was clean and well maintained.No refreshments,but Dumbola lodge just down the road and another great place to learn about early photography and lovely food and drinks .
