Very very bland overpriced tasteless food. Very small portions. Don't give them your money go elsewhere.

Called in on Saturday night. 7.45 Only 2 people dining.the Crown and the other restaurants were all busy. Soon found out why. The temperature outside was dropping fast' after a nice day. no heating on. Staff friendly thats all. Waited ages for our drinks ...4 staff 2 customers ?. Sticky tables. Worst of all food not even average. A nice inglenook fireplace blocked off. Decor very dated. NEVER again.

I've ordered takeaways from here before and eaten in the restaurant also, but it seems something has changed and not for the better. The food was not great, expensive for the quality of food. The servers were pleasant and courteous but a little timid and lacking in experience, they were all still at school, nothing wrong with that merely mention it for completeness sake. The restaurant was freezing, I kept my coat on throughout the evening, There was not a great choice of vegetarian options available. I won't go back again and would recommend you to look elsewhere. Vegetarian options: I think there were four tofu dishes. Veg spring rolls. That's it.
