Solar installation including battery storage: From the initial comprehensive quote to the installation and commissioning I have been very pleased with Payne's work. They worked in conjunction with a roofing contractor to provide an 'in-roof' panel array (6kWh) coupled to a hybrid inverter and 10 kWh battery storage neatly fitted and accessible in the garage. The mix of equipment supplied is some of the best on the market and provides a lot of options to control and configure it to obtain the best energy production. after 3 months of use we have more than halved our electricity bills. I couldn't be happier and would have no hesitation in recommending Payne's as a solar installer. Service: Installation

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Awful from start to finish. Was book in for a service in the afternoon and engineer came in the morning so had to rush home. He thought he was in for a repair so communication was poor. He was then on site for about 20 minutes and about 15 minutes if that was working. I had an issue with the boiler and had another engineer (different company) which mentioned there was various things including leak, bits of wire, dust etc that should have been picked up on service and cleaned out due to affecting performance of boiler. I then had to get hold of Paynes which is a pain! Another engineer was sent out to re do the service and remaining are still in the boiler but now know I need to avoid this lot also mentioned he would send the report to my landlord considering Im the owner I found that fairly offensive. wouldnt recommend Service: Heating system maintenance

My heating broke down. I had run out of oil, got the tank filled, still no heating or hot water. A friend recommended Paynes. I rang in the morning, lady answered the phone was friendly and helpful. Dave arrived in the afternoon, as promised. He quickly saw the problem, the oil not getting to the boiler. He filtered the pipe, sorted filters etc , explained the problems etc. All working . I was delighted with his professional service and will have this company service our boiler and other jobs very happily in the future. Service: General repairs

Turned up almost to the end of the a.m booked. I had specifically asked Paynes to get the engineer to ring prior ro arrival so he could then park right outside my rear gate (a walk round the block otherwise). He never rang, nor did the engineer last year when I again asked. Consequently, he had got lost and came in through the front door and walked through with no shoe covers on. Hard to get hold of them on the phone too as they always seem to be busy. Also, I never get a copy of the check sheet done with the service. I get told it will be e mailed to me, but it never does. I always have to ring and ask.
