5 stars to A/E Majors !! Today my aunt with terminal cancer, who suddenly deteriorated had amazing care today from all the doctors and nurses in majors. They treated her with the upmost dignity and respect. They kept updating us and her,and they were so very gentle and kind. It's about time we gave some positive support to these very hardworking staff! Well done St Peters Hospital.

Came with severe pain in my tummy and has been wanting for 8 hours!! And not eaten since last night! Cause they dont know do I need a surgery or not! Secretary and nurses are rude and not answering you or giving any estimate! Worst experience ever with nhs!

Terrible day of my life . First time ever I visited any hospital in uk with clueless and lots of hope but all turned out into a disappointment. I entered St. Peters A&E for malaria test after my GP referred at 1pm and registered myself . Post registration I went to waiting area and looking for my turn to come , after 3 hours of waiting my name was called and I went to see doctor where he suggested to have many other tests like chest X-ray , 3 diff blood test out of which 1 test usually takes time to get results. He then asked me to go back to waiting area and wait for my name to be called out . After 1 hour I went and gave chest X-ray and then another hour blood test (total 2 hours ) and back to waiting area . Until here it was going all okay as I was still hopeful that my treatment is going well but slowly everything started turning down . Time was 11pm and was almost 10 hours in hospital waiting for results and to see my doctor . 11.30pm I saw my doctor and asked him whats happening and he said reports are taking time so Ill have to wait some more time and he asked me to give urine sample as well which I kept at some place he asked . Again I started waiting and falling more sick by sitting at hospital for hours and hours . Waited until 5am and 15 hours of waiting and started loosing patience as I was feeling week and sick since I didnt had proper food . 5.30am I went and started asking nurses about my case and surprised that I was left un monitored . One nurse came and told that I was referred to specialist which scared me but luckily this turned out a false statement. Then I went to a nurse room and asked to show my case on system what is happening and nurse showed me that your reports were ready last night and pending ones would take time and should be ready by next week Monday . I asked why the hell nobody informed me as I was kept waiting like mad and they gave magical answer Apology sir . Another surprise at 5.30am nurse started asking where is my urine sample then I had to take them to doctors room where I kept (I am still unsure if my urine sample was taken) . At last they removed strings from my hand (which I kept asking to remove and had it for 8-9 hours which caused swelling on my hand) and asked nicely to go home . I asked what should I do now , any medicines if they can recommend and they simple asked me to take paracetamol which they are not aware of the dose so she just googled and checked . Isnt scary ? Outcome : I am more sick with high temp and weak now , wasted my 16 hours with some uneducated nurses .

We attended A&e paediatrics last night around 5pm, both A&Es were the quietest I've ever seen them and when I walked to the paediatrics dep we were triaged within 20 min (this is really longer than it should have been) but the care and compassion from the nurses and Drs was outstanding, the facilities were top notch. My son had a viral wheeze that got treated quickly and swiftly and even though we stayed the night in the ward, the care from beginning to end I could not be more grateful for. Thank you NHS!
