        Cute little gem of a pub located on the outside of Ottorshaw. Very friendly staff and a excellent place for a quick drink on a sunny Saturday.

        I made a booking at The Castle Inn for Mothers Day. They charged a 40 deposit. Then they tried to charge me the deposit again. Then they forgot to deduct the deposit from the final bill. Then they charged us for five set meals when we had only three. But at least the food was OK.

        What a disappointing experience. Having arrived for a mother's day meal we were informed that part of the pre-ordered set menu was now not available. We then waited 30 minutes for starters to arrive, which were average at best. 40 minutes after table was cleared, we were still waiting for our main course. We tried asking, then after 5 minutes with no answer decided we'd had enough, and decided to leave. The reason given for the delay was apparently a system error, however given that we were the only table sat directly opposite the bar, this clearly showed no attention from the waiting staff that no one had realised. We also noted meals being returned cold from another table. All in all, it appears the pub was hugely under prepared for the occasion.
