I recently collected my Hyundai Tucson PHEV Motability car from Endeavour Hyundai Colchester. I would like to thank James Davidson for his excellent assistance in guiding me through the process of selecting the car and answering the many questions I had regarding PHEV cars. The car is fabulous to drive but the controls and buttons are rather complicated? I'm sure I'll get there eventually though. James had said the drive battery would be fully charged but it appears the charge point at Endeavour doesn't work. It would have been nice to have driven away with a fully charged battery, perhaps someone could get it fixed? On the whole James and Endeavour did an excellent job, thank you.

A lamentable experience. Endeavour closed our local dealership and consolidated the business to Colchester 3 months after I placed my order. The car took 9 months to arrive, rather than the initial estimate of 6 months. When it did arrive, I was sent the wrong paperwork to sign: this was for a 28% higher monthly cost than I had agreed. After 327 miles, the car broke down with a steering lock issue. Not a good example of quality control by Hyundai. It took 2 days and 3 visits from AA patrols to recover the car, and Endeavour made no obvious effort to keep me informed of the issue or of any progress after it was delivered to them. When I called them, I was told how busy they were. 9 days after the car arrived at Endeavour, and after several more calls, somebody finally called me to say that a part was being delivered on Friday and they would let me know how that went. It seems that they were having trouble communicating with the car. I heard nothing until I called late afternoon to be told that the car was ready, but that I'd have to wait until Monday to pick it up, because the keys needed reprogramming. On asking what was the best time, I was told to come in at any time. Monday came: I was told it would take about 20 minutes. I chased them after an hour, and overheard the technician say that he was too busy to do it. I think I wasted around 2 hours in their very nice coffee area. Could I recommend Endeavour Colchester? Absolutely not.
