What a lovely bed and breakfast. I had a beautiful double room overlooking the pretty little back garden. Peace and quiet except the odd dog barking on the path at the back of the house. Bed was comfy, room airy and light. Tv, WiFi and hot drink making facilities all provided. Neat bathroom with large shower, oodles of hot water, fluffy towels. Clean and tidy. James had gone out of his way to provide what I wanted for breakfast which was delicious. Friendly and hospitable place to stay. A few minutes walk down to the Cove Inn for dinner. If I had any comment for improvement at all it would be to cut down single use plastics in the bathroom by providing an alternative to the small containers of shampoo and shower gel - perhaps refilling larger wall mounted containers to be more eco-friendly and providing a bin for recycling items (assuming you have a recycling collection?). Thanks for a fantastic stay I really enjoyed it.

This is a fantastic BnB, the host/owner James was excellent and very helpful, providing me with information on places to eat in Portland before my stay. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The BnB is very near to the local amenities and the pebble beach. Finally the breakfast was outstanding with lots on offer, James was very accommodating with my requests and made sure to check I didn't have any specific dietary needs. I would recommend anyone visiting the area stay at the Turnstones, you won't regret it.
