Initially enquired in 2020 regarding a tenancy deposit dispute. Speaking to Rebecca was helpful at the time, however, as I can only assume that I wanted this to be done on Conditional Fee basis my enquiry wasn't looked into properly. I didn't feel like arguing at the time or to tell Rebecca that she had actually not deciphered my evidence correctly so I just let it be and told her that I would go with another firm. It was a huge red flag to send over copious amounts of evidence and to speak to someone over the phone, to then have them get it incorrect. This was already after I had a legal advisor look at these same documents and advised that I hire a solicitor. But now after acquiring representation and the case being taken on by a barrister, I had to provide the feedback. In Rebecca's email she states that a certificate I signed states that I received my deposit, however after reading said document (had it been read properly) the document makes no mention of either parties receiving the prescribed information. It clearly states at the top the deposit will be protected and the prescribed information needs to be given separately. There were other things wrong with her letter as she even got the name of the firm that I was working with on a housing issue incorrect. I can only assume that this was botched due to not paying directly or being a high value case. Very glad I avoided as way too many mistakes from the outset. However I do appreciate that she recommended I go with a barrister if I didn't agree with her assessment as that's what I've done.

Pilkington shaw have been amazing working my case, they provide clear information quickly and work hard to ensure results with my ongoing case. I would highly recommend working with them.
