Alert Kids Community Nursery

My son loved every minute in nursery and all his teachers.... staff is amazing even now few years latter we still going back to say hi to all of them....

We visited this nursery a few days ago and I would not send my child there even if I was paid to do so! There is a set of concrete stairs to access the garden and, as we were going up the stairs, two toddlers ran in from the garden and started coming down the stairs on their own. It is not until they got half way down the stairs that the girl who was supervising them outside ran back in to check on them. There is no gate fitted to these stairs and the door leading to the garden can only be locked from the inside, which means that children can run in from the garden and tumble down the stairs at any time. We immediately told the manager about our concerns and her reply was that there had never been an accident and staff always supervise children when they are outside (obviously not!) and if anything was to happen, she would be able to see it on CCTV. What good is that after a child falls down hard concrete steps and splits his head open?

Nice place, nice people and a good mix of kids too. Our (1yr old) sprog is certainly enjoying himself there.
