Thatched Eaves Bed & Breakfast

We were looking to find somewhere to stay for a short break after our wedding and also to celebrate my 50th birthday. I can honestly say WOW, What a fantastic find The Thatched Eaves was! On arrival we were welcomed by Alice and was shown to The Cedar Suite. We were greeted with a bottle of Prosecco and two glasses in a bucket of ice as a celebration of our marriage which was on 28th January. Such a lovely touch! The room was spotlessly clean to a very high standard and was cleaned every day that we stayed. There was a fridge in the room which was stocked up with bottled water and milk every day. Tea, Coffee, herbal teas, biscuits were also in the room, again stocked up each day. The view from the room was fantastic. You looked out onto the garden. It felt so calm and tranquil, watching the birds and the squirrels. It is definitely a place that you can switch off! Breakfast was amazing. There was a wide choice of breakfast available to suit everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed every meal! Alice & Andrew would take the time to chat to us each morning too. On my birthday, when we returned to our room after being out in the day, we were greeted by a cupcake each and a candle on top with a lovely note beside it. Alice very kindly booked a table and arranged a taxi for us to have an evening meal at The George at Fordingbridge, which again was a lovely touch. I cannot fault our stay at The Thatched Eaves. My husband & I felt so relaxed and looked after. It made our honeymoon/birthday trip really special. We have booked up for January 2024 for our first wedding anniversary.

Not sure where to begin but what an amazing find this was. Booked as a birthday get away and from start to finish the weekend was magic. Cabin was spotless breakfast was incredible and Andrew and Alice are second to none. As hosts they are 10/10. So much so that we have booked 5!days next year and I cant wait . The old beams pub next door (I mean right next door so no taxi needed) is amazing. The food is lush and the staff were attentive. Ive found my new happy place in this little corner of the new forest and am so excited to get back and see Andrew and Alice again.

We enjoyed a wonderful 4 night stay at Thatched Eaves, Alice and Andrew have thought of everything when it comes to the accommodation, the coach house was spacious and spotless with its own private enclosed patio/decked area and lots of thought has been put into every little detail with many touches that make the place feel like a luxurious hotel room with the comforts of home, with the best part being is its dog friendly! The location is perfect for exploring the New Forest or further afield if you fancy a drive. The breakfast was exceptional with a wealth of options with fresh locally sourced ingredients including many vegetarian/vegan choices, we recommend the sweet chilli avocado on toast. Alice and Andrew are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble, they have great knowledge of the local area and you get the feeling they really love having you stay at their B&B. We wish we couldve stayed longer as we really didnt want to leave, we cant wait to stay again next time we visit The New Forest.
