Andy packs an enormous amount of information into the time you spend with him. He is incredibly skilled both as woodturner and as a teacher, the course covers all aspects from the organisation of the work shop, to the sharpening of your tools what type of grinding wheels to buy and how high to mount the grinder, how to hold the tools and present them to the wood. The outstanding aspect to me was how delicately he held tools taking fine shavings to shape the turnings. Lunches were relaxing and very tasty. I will definitely be going back but I have got to practice what Andy has shown me first. Thank you, Andy for a very informative two days. Best regards Roger Hammonds

Im a joiner who fancied trying something different. The lesson covered everything I needed and wanted to know. It would be difficult to see how the lesson could be improved and I do recommend Andy.

My mum and myself did a day course with Andy. We had such a fun time and learnt many techniques of wood turning. He guided us through everything (I was a complete novice) and we left with a bowl each that we had made. His studio is in the countryside with beautiful views and his wife Martina cooked us a delicious lunch! Thank you both for a amazing experience. I would highly reccomend this.

Finished my second lesson yesterday with Andy and loved it! The bowels are fantastic and I'm really impressed with the progress I've made. Felt very much at home and thank you for the delicious cottage pie!

Just finished a woodturning day with Andy and thoroughly enjoyed making my bowl. Andy was very friendly and helpful with all of his instruction and guidance. Thank you to Martine too for a tasty cottage pie lunch too. A great day and I would thoroughly recommend it.
